Fault Lines

HWS THEATRE PRESENTS FAULT LINES - in film format

On April 13-15, 2023, HWS Theatre presented a live version of a devised piece about climate change entitled Fault Lines in McDonald Theatre. The piece was interactive and depended on audience participation. In an attempt to broaden the reach of this production in ways that are accessible and have a minimal negative impact on our environment, we also created a film version of the production. Although we considered simply recording a live performance for this version, we believed that it would be unethical to exploit the responses of our audiences to very specific time and circumstances in that way. While we were unable to totally reimagine the production for film, we have tried our best to honor the intimate nature of the live performances and to engage audiences in ongoing dialogue - this issue is only getting more urgent, after all. To that effect, we hope that you will follow some of the links on this page to add your voice to the conversation and that you will share our work with others if it moves you.

You can find a digital version of the complete theatrical production program here.

We’re curious what your thoughts are on climate change and have created a survey where you can share them. We will collate these responses in the future and post results here.
